How many people wish they could find some proven, solid foundation on which to base their trust? The shifting sands of the world provide no firm footing. But you are not a citizen of this world. Your foundation is secure. You stand on The Rock and cannot be moved. Notice in this scripture that the wise man went through the same storm as the foolish one. He experienced the rain, the flood and the strong wind. Obviously, he hadn’t been promised that storms, trials and testing wouldn’t come… and neither have you. But for those who have made Jesus their Lord, and His Father their God, the outcome has been decided. Your house will stand. You will endure the storms and emerge unharmed. There is no insurance policy on this planet that can provide that benefit!

- I hear the Word of the Lord and I do it. I know that the Word keeps me safe from harm.
